Frequently asked questions
Why do I have to cut my tree up for Green Cart collection?
Trees must be cut up so the pieces fit completely into your green cart with the lid closed. The automated collection truck can get damaged by oversized pieces of wood and does not allow for trees to be manually loaded.
Can I compost real wreaths and garlands?
Yes, you can put your real evergreen wreaths and garlands in your green cart.
Just like the trees, all decorations, ribbons, nails and wires must be removed first.
What are the benefits of composting my Christmas tree?
By composting your Christmas tree, you help save valuable space in our landfills, turn your tree into nutrient-rich compost and reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions.
