Neighbour Day

Neighbour Day — June 21, 2025

New this year: Check out the #YYCNeighbourDay microgrant to help fund your event! Apply by May 31, 2025.

Neighbour Day is Calgary’s celebration of community spirit and connection. Held each year on the third Saturday in June, Neighbour Day is a step toward creating welcoming and inclusive communities where neighbours connect and belong every day of the year.

Get to know your neighbours—whether through a friendly chat or a helping hand, small connections build stronger communities and a greater sense of belonging and wellbeing.

Bring your community together by organizing a block party, BBQ or gathering with neighbours. Permits for block parties and greenspaces are free. Apply by May 31, 2025.

Mark your calendar for June 21, 2025 and celebrate Neighbour Day with your community!

We had our first neighbour day party last year and it was a huge success! Everyone was thrilled! We recently had a new family move to the street and they said what sold them was when their realtor told them about our great neighbour day party!
