Responsibilities of event organizers
In addition to the permit required by Calgary Fire Department, the event organizer must secure any other needed permits from appropriate City of Calgary departments.
The event organizer must supply each vendor with any information required for loading in and out of the special event. Fire lanes must be kept clear at all times after the allotted loading time. (6m or 20ft minimum).
The event organizer is responsible for maintaining compliance of fire and safety codes by onsite vendors.
All vendors who are a part of an event must be given a copy or made aware of the requirements of one of the following guides and/or applications depending on the location of the event.

Responsibilities of events vendors
A vendor must comply with all fire and safety regulations at all times while participating in special events. They should be ready for a fire and life-safety inspection one hour before the start of event, or at any time throughout the duration of the event.
Vendors will work with the event organizer to comply with rules for loading in and out of the event.
Fire lanes must be kept clear at all times after the allotted loading time.
Food vendors must familiarize themselves with the regulations for cooking booths.
