As work progresses on the Beltline Downtown Utility Relocation Project to make way for the Green Line LRT, significant construction impacts will affect how you get around in east Beltline. During events and Calgary Flames games, a significant inflow of traffic will also cause congestion and delays in the area, so please give yourself some extra time to reach your venue and plan your trip accordingly. Area detours will be in place March through June.
We thank you for your continued patience with construction and detours in the area, as well as your care around workers and equipment.
If driving from the south, enter via 25 Avenue S.E., where construction is less impactful. If you’re driving from the north, you can park at the Platform Innovation Centre and Parkade located at 9 Avenue S.E. and 3 Street S.E. at no charge. Parking is also available on the south side of Stampede Park as well as in lots 10 and 11 on the north side of Stampede Park, off of 12 Avenue S.E.
All area construction projects will pause for Stampede 2023, allowing for safe and easy access through the area. Construction will then resume with revised detours in late July and will remain in place through December.
Detailed road closures and detours can be found on the Culture + Entertainment access map.
Victoria Park/Stampede Station is within a short walking distance of all event venues in Stampede Park. Consider taking transit to beat the traffic and congestion.

In March 2022, the cycle track on Olympic Way S.E. was closed between 11 and 12 Avenues. Impacts to the cycle track are expected to last until construction is complete in 2024.
