Enjoy free programming celebrating the 2SLGBTQ+ community and history from August 26 – September 4 at Central Library and online. Programs include movie screenings, talks with local and international experts, art making for kids and teens, and more.
Kickoff Pride celebrations with the recently unveiled four new murals in Central Memorial Park as part of With You With Pride presented by Rogers together with Shaw.
Head down to Ol’ Beautiful Brewing Co on August 28 for the fifth annual Pride Patio Party hosted by TD Inglewood/Ramsay. Admission ticket supports the Calgary Rainbow Railroad Station (which aids 2SLGBTQ+ refugees in Calgary) and the Centre for Newcomers.
Continue the fun the next day at the Pride Block Party for an evening of free, family friendly fun – food trucks, drag performances. DJs, and music. If you’re looking for an adult only trivia night, Lougheed House is hosting a free Pride-themed event on August 31.

On September 1, head out to the ContainR Park to join the Lavender Club and CRBC for Queer Care Day to learn more about the resources, physical and mental supports being offered to the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Make sure to check out the delicious vegan food trucks, market vendors, and live music. For some late-night fun, WERK is hosting a NSFW: Pride Edition party at the Palace Theatre.
Start your Pride weekend by fueling up with a hearty brunch at National 17th for a drag brunch hosted by Farrah Nuff. You could also join the Centre for Sexuality at the Hyatt Regency for its annual Pride Brunch in support of Camp fYrefly Southern Alberta. Tickets include a meal, performances, and more. On September 2, Saturday, Prince's Island Park will transform into an adult only haven of celebration with a Pride Cabaret Soiree.
The Pride Parade kicks off on September 3, with Downtown Calgary lit with a spectrum of colours, lively music, and celebration. The parade starts at 9 Avenue S.W. and 4 Street S.W. and will end at The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland (previously Fort Calgary). Grab a spot along the route and join thousands in celebrating the beauty, diversity and resilience of the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Calgary. After the parade, you can return to the park to partake in a day filled with fun activities, games, and entertainment tailored for kids and parents alike. You can end the night with the screening of Too Wong Foo, a 1995 classic comedy. Be sure to bring your blankets to relax under the stars.
