Arena multiple rentals

We book arena time in 15 minute increments. The minimum booking period is one hour.

If you're renting 5 or fewer dates, you can call Facility Bookings (option 2) or use the online application. For more than 5 dates, please only use the online application.

Please note: If you’re renting 10 or more dates every year or arena season, find out if you’re eligible for Renewal Rights​.

Arena rates vary as follows. Prices are in effect for rentals between April 1 to March 31. GST is included. A risk management fee of $4.75 is applied to each permit issued.

Fees include access to the dressing room(s) 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after your rental time.

• Rental fees for 1-5 dates are due immediately.
• Rental fees for 6 or more dates are due 30 days prior to the first date booked.

We’ll confirm the outcome of your rental application by email. There are several ways to pay – please review the arena rental terms and conditions​ for options.

Tournament Definition - competition which involves a number of teams and games, with the overall tournament winner determined based on the combined results of these individual or team matches. Tournaments can utilize single venues or multiple venues based on number of competitors and size of competition. A tournament takes place outside of regular league play and is specific to a duration of time.

Special Event Definition - special event is a one-time or infrequently occurring event outside normal programs or activities of an organizations playing or booking schedule. 

Arena applications are accepted as follows. First-come, first served.

Public day applications are accepted starting at 8:30 a.m. 

Public Day applications received before 8:30am will be closed and you will be required to reapply.

It takes up to seven days to process multiple-date applications. We'll let you know the outcome of your application by email.

Please note: Non-authorized rental sublets and no-shows could result in losing rental privileges.

Arena bookings are automatically renewed for the next same season once a group earns renewal rights. Arena seasons are:

• Winter - January to March
• Fall - October to December

This means we’ll automatically reserve the same day and time slot for next year's season – e.g. Winter – for groups with renewal rights; no application required.

To earn renewal rights, a group must have a rental and payment history of 10 or more regularly-scheduled bookings, in each of the previous two seasons, at the same time, same arena, same day for 10 dates within a session Fall or Winter, with fees paid on time. Groups meeting these criteria for the first time are called New Renewals.

New Renewals must maintain the same rental and payment history that earned their eligibility for an additional two years. During that period, you'll continue submitting rental applications on the date(s) specified for your group.

After two years in good standing as a New Renewal, you rental status is upgraded to Established Renewals.

An Established Renewal status means your permit is automatically renewed – rental applications are no longer required. If your group no longer needs the arena, please refer to your renewal package for information on how and when to cancel without penalty.

It takes two years to earn renewal rights, and two years to lose them. This allows for the occasional scheduling change or disruption. The City may withdraw Renewal Rights from renters who sub-let time slots without permission or fail to show.

Amendments (including time changes) will not be accepted and rental fees are not refunded for cancelled bookings scheduled between April 1 and Aug. 31.

Rental fees will be refunded for canceling a booking scheduled between September and March, provided the cancelation is received by Facility Bookings 30 calendar days or more before the rental date.

Amendments (including time changes) received less than 30 days of the booking will not be accepted. An administrative fee of $10.50 will be charged once for up to 10 cancellations or amendments, per permit, per request. 

Cancellations or amendments received within 30 days of the booking are non-refundable.
