What we heard

You’ve said you value river health, reliability, responsiveness, public health, quality, and cost for the service. You’ve indicated that a lack of clarity and concerns with fairness for wastewater billing are concerns. You most often need our assistance on sewer back-ups, and commercial customers call us most about accidental substance releases and our surcharge program.

Council direction

Climate change is altering how and when we receive precipitation, affecting river water quality and river flows. Integrated watershed management is essential to protect public health and the environment while strengthening our resiliency to a changing climate. All Water services work with the region and other orders of government, adjacent municipalities, customers, developers and the First Nations to ensure integrated watershed management.

We’re also building capacity at the Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant to address increased wastewater demands and regulations; these improvements will serve future generations of Calgarians.
