Pop-up Food Markets

Improving access to healthy food options is an important part of Calgary Eats!, our Food Action Plan.

Since 2017 we’ve been operating Pop-up Food Markets (Farm Stands) at select C-train stations. This has given commuters an improved commuting experience and the opportunity to support local farmers by purchasing healthy, locally grown food.

In 2020 we expanded the program to include new pop-up food markets at community hubs around Calgary. This helped us provide more Calgarians with improved access to healthy food options.  YYC GrowersFresh Routes and Broxburn Farm are operating farm stands that can be found Monday to Saturday at the locations listed below.   In the late Spring we’ll be sharing more farm stand locations that will operate across the city.

Some market locations moved indoors for the Winter. Please check the schedule below for the dates and locations of the indoor markets.
