Fluor Rope Square is making its way back to where the very first Stampede Breakfast took place in 1923: Stephen Avenue. Every day starts with a bacon-pancake served hot off a chuckwagon or smokie paired with Stampede-style entertainment.

Here are some great locations along the parade route that accommodate people with mobility challenges (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, scooters) and their friends/families.
Construction pauses
In support of the Calgary Stampede, several City-led construction projects downtown and on major traffic routes are making sure Calgarians can get around during the festivities.

- Reopened to two lanes of traffic (during peak hours) on June 10 with remaining work to be paused completely during Stampede for full access.
- Two-way vehicle traffic will continue with one lane in each direction, while pedestrian, walking and wheeling access will remain open.
- Work is currently limited to between 2 Avenue and 4 Avenue S.W.
- Roadway will be reinstated to two lanes of vehicle traffic, with some signage on site to keep the public safe.
- The river pathway will reopen for walking and wheeling.
- Street parking was permanently removed north of 4th Avenue S.W. along 8 Street last month and will not be reinstated. (Lot 6 is a convenient option on the north side of 4 Avenue.)
- Some work will continue through the Stampede, though no impacts to the public are anticipated.

14 Avenue and 15 Avenue S. Mobility Improvements
- Roadwork on 14 Avenue S. is expected to be complete in time for Stampede with sidewalks and roadway open for use.
- Repaving work on 15 Avenue S. will be paused to allow for two-way traffic flow along the corridor.
- The intersection at 15 Avenue S. and MacLeod Trail will remain closed (per existing conditions).
- Pedestrians who need to cross MacLeod Trail will be detoured to the intersections at 14 Avenue S. or 16 Avenue S.
