Access to information
We strive to give Calgarians clarity and transparency. Not all requests for information require a formal Access or Correction to Information (FOIP) Request. The information you want may already be publicly available or routinely disclosed. The City aims to show accountability and transparency by releasing information through:
1. Routine Disclosure
This gives you access to a record or information upon request. There is no need for a formal FOIP request.
The City may set reasonable fees to cover the cost of providing the information.
Please contact 3-1-1 to reach the department that may have the information you are requesting.
2. Active Dissemination
This is the periodical and proactive release of information to Calgarians.
The City publishes this information on calgary.ca and the Open Data Catalogue.
