Access to information statistics

The City of Calgary (The City) compiles and publishes annual statistics about requests received under the new Access to Information Act (ATIA) and the former Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act. These statistics provide an overview of how access to information requests are managed across the organization.

The published data includes:

  • The total number of access to information requests received by The City.
  • The number of access to information requests received by each City department.
  • The number of access to information requests received by applicant type,
  • The number of hours spent by departments working on access to information requests.
  • The operational costs for The City’s access to information program.
