Park, pathway and greenspace bookings

Calgary Recreation facilitates the bookings of open public park spaces for various outdoor activities, including weddings, fundraising events, performances, walks/runs, etc.

Any greenspace or park maintained by Calgary Parks may be booked providing the appropriate Parks region has given permission to do so. These include: major parks, regional and local pathways, small miscellaneous greenspaces, skateparks, and downtown park plazas. Picnic sites and community playfields can also be booked for purposes outside of the realm of their normal or intended use.

Public parks, pathways, skateparks and greenspaces are available for booking.

Designated picnic site areas are available to the public at no charge, on a first come, first-served basis if not already reserved/booked. However, if you wish to ensure you have a site, it is in your best interest to book a site.

Soccer fields and baseball diamonds

Shouldice Park can be booked for football, baseball, softball, soccer, field hockey, field lacrosse, basketball, sports tournaments, batting cages and special events.

Athletic parks are available to book for football, baseball, softball, soccer, field hockey, field lacrosse, track, ultimate Frisbee, sports tournaments and special events.

    Soccer, football, softball and baseball fields are available to play on. In addition to the three artificial turf sport fields, Shouldice Athletic Park has 4 grass sport fields and 8 ball diamonds.
