Property tax rates and bill calculation
Your property tax share is calculated annually, covering January 1 to December 31. Your property share amount owing is shown on your annual property tax bill, which is mailed in late May each year.

- Your portion of City property tax is calculated by multiplying your properties assessed value (shown on your Assessment Notice) by the municipal tax rate.

Median property tax
The median property tax shows the middle of the range of property taxes. It's based on the median property assessment of a single detached residential home. It shows only the City portion, and is the amount they would pay if their year-to-year assessment change equals the typical change.
