What we heard
Our internal customers want greater support, tools, and training on the management of electronic records, and are interested in training on the FOIP Act and privacy obligations. Online archival records are popular and requested frequently by both you and internal customers. FOIP requestors have been dissatisfied with timeliness of responses, content provided and user fees.
Council direction
Council has directed that we continue providing the direction, framework and tools for effective management, protection, preservation and release of records by the Corporation. We are also to balance City needs with citizen interests and ensure timely release of quality content with the greatest focus on value for citizen investment balanced with privacy needs and legalities.
