About the policy
As a public service organization, The City has a unique responsibility to protect the health and safety of ourselves, the people we work with and the public with whom we interact.
It is a worker’s individual responsibility to report in a condition fit for work, perform duties to the best of their ability and present themselves as positive ambassadors for The City of Calgary.
Substance use in the workplace may have serious adverse effects on a worker’s health, safety and job performance, as well as create potential risks for co-workers and/or the public.
