Registration for spring & summer programs, classes and day camps:

Registration will open:
- 6 a.m. — Online (virtual waiting room opens at 5:30 a.m.).
- 8:30 a.m. — By calling the Customer Service Centre at 403-268-3800 (option 1).
- During business hours — At any City-operated Aquatic & Recreation or Arts facility.
Upcoming facility closures
Programs, classes and swimming lessons will not be offered at the following facilities while they undergo repairs:
- Bob Bahan Aquatic & Fitness Centre: closed this spring and summer.
- Canyon Meadows Aquatic & Fitness Centre: closed this summer.
- Sir Winston Churchill Aquatic & Recreation Centre: closed this summer.

Hapkido combines dynamic kicking and striking, together with a vast array of locks and throws designed to control an attacker.
Age: 13+ years
Prerequisites: None
About our Hapkido instructors
- Black belt certification and/or advanced training in Hapkido
- Previous leadership and instructional expertise
- Ability to teach all levels and ages
- Instructors are or were competitive practicing athletes in Hapkido
- Intermediate first-aid, CPR, AED, police checks
What are classes like?
Our classes are open to all levels of skill and fitness. Previous martial arts experience is not required.
Classes include warm-up exercises, strength and conditioning, technical training and practice, application of theory, and partner work.
Junior students have the opportunity to learn from and with senior students.
Come prepared
- Bring a water bottle
- Wear comfortable clothing. Uniform is not required
- No shoes required. Hapkido is practiced barefoot

A combination of lecture and hands-on practice will focus on situational awareness and practical tactics that can help you to stay safe. Open to everyone, 13 years and over.

With classes for all ages, students will learn the fundamentals of punching and kicking of Taekwondo, while building strong personal characteristics.

Relax through breathing patterns and soft flowing movements of Tai Chi. Stimulate and balance your internal energy (Qi) through stretches, breathing and meditative postures and exercise in Qigong.
