Landfill hours and locations in Calgary

The City of Calgary has three sanitary landfill sites where you can take residential waste, household chemicals and some recyclables. For holiday hours, please see our landfill holiday schedule.

The East Calgary and Spyhill facilities accept commercial waste, including yard waste and some source-separated recyclables. The Shepard facility is the only location that accepts industrial waste. Permits and appointments may be required.

COVID-19 Update

The City landfill sites are currently not accepting cash as payment in response to COVID-19. Credit and debit cards are accepted.

Please practice physical distancing and keep at least 2 metres from others at all times. This includes interacting with City staff and unloading your waste.
